PRIMARY DISTRIBUTION
The definition of Primary Distribution is the process of the film such as 'The Woman in Black' going in to the cinemas. By the primary distribution being in the cinemas it gives them a wider range of target audience because a lot of people go to the cinemas. another way in which they produce primary distribution is by releasing trailers at the start of each film to entice the target audience to watch it.
SECONDARY DISTRIBUTION:
secondary distribution is the second process after the film being released in the cinema. this process includes the film being put out on to a DVD, Blu-Rays and TV.
This is a encouraging impact on those who are unable to visit the cinema, they do not like to go or due to medical reasons such as epilepsy.
it also widens there target audience because a lot of people like to watch TV now a days.
piracy is basically something similar to copyright and is an illegal activity
woman in black was released in the cinemas in the UK in 2012 with a 12a rating by the bbfc and with a copy right so anyone who uses it has to ask permission or they will be doing illegal activity and could be fined or taken to court
HOW ONE MIGHT GO ABOUT OBTAINING AN ILLEGITIMATE COPY(ILLEGAL)?
the way in which an individual might go about it is they may burn the particular thing that they want on a disc and sell it to individuals on the street who like or are interested in the type of film. they may also sell it to dvd shops without permission and the shop will not be able to realise whether it is the real copy or the fake copy.
WHEN WAS THE WOMAN IN BLACK RELEASED IN CINEMAS?

HOW BIG AND WIDE A RELEASE WAS IT?
in the first week of being released in the cinemas the box office sold 841 tickets and got a gross total of $54,333,290 for the first week and weekend. During the releasing process the woman in black never had a production budget that they were working off of so this also increased the amount of money that they got because there interest rate would not decrease if they did not meet up to the budget or could not pay back the budget.
MARKETING CAMPAIGN:
POSTER:↗ the fact that the woman in black has a dark forest and graveyard gothic type scene already tells the target audience or gives a hint on what the genre is going to be as a horror film.
or a shadow of a silhouette because silhouette's are normally classed or known as being black.
because of the dark sense that it has to it. and the title in which is used it suggests a funeral or gloomy occasion that someone is going to
YOUTUBE CLIP:
analysis of the advertisements(youtube clip)
during this short 1 minute 40 seconds clip the sound draws the viewer in with a lot of intensity and suspense so when the trailer ends the viewer would be intrigued and questioning wanting to know what happened next so they will go to the cinema when it comes out to watch it.
also the dark scenes in which they use gives a sense of coldness to the film and sends a shiver down your spine in horror.
also in the short trailer they use the title in which they chose for the film in there speech this created a huge impact of fear on the audience as they will be thinking what is the woman in black going to do.

MAGAZINE:
in this magazine caption that was taken from the binge magazine based on the woman in black it is clearly stated that it is of eel marsh house where the woman in black is said to be hiding. the fact that the put the house on it's own making it look abandoned lonely and old it gives us a fear and a cold sense as well as horror to wanting to figure out what is happening in that house or what has happened that it has caused it to be abandoned for so long. another thing that is stated in this caption is the dark colours in which they use to bring the horror, fear and and coldness to the image that sends a shiver down your spine saying what is the woman in black going to do now that it is dark and possibly night time. a third thing that is stated within the caption taken from binge magazine is that they have sillouhetes of people walking towards the house in black this also creates the full sense of psycological fear that if the people enter eel marsh house they will be killed or it is possibly the woman in black's crew and partners in crime.
with the magazine creating that psycological fear and the fact of wanting to question what is going to happen next they will want to go to the cinema and watch it when it is released in the cinemas or they can watch it when there is other ways of the film being distributed such as watching it on netflix etc.
